Fifteen years in the yard
Badrul Islam started this brickfield in 2010 on a small plot in Salia, Salutikar, with a handful of workers and a single kiln. The work was simple then: mix the clay, mould it by hand, let the sun and the fire do the rest.
Word travelled through word of mouth long before it travelled online — masons who trusted the batch, contractors who came back for the next order, families building their first home. That reputation is still what the business runs on today, even as our reach has grown well beyond Sylhet.
The methods haven't changed much. What has changed is how far the bricks now travel.
